The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa was formed beneath the Orissa Higher Secondary Education Act 1982 on the 23rd October 1982. The main purpose of Board is to regulate, Control and develop Higher Secondary Education in the State of Orissa. The administrative function of the Council commenced from 7th September 1982 at Goutam Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Then, the Council had shifted administrative headquarters to Samantapur, Bhubaneswar on 2nd January 1996. Orissa / Odisha headquater is named as “PRAJNAPITHA".
The Council of Higher Secondary Education, CHSE Orissa used to conduct Class 10th and Class 12th Board exams every year in the month of March. In similar manner Odisha had conducted Plus two exams in March 2014.
Around 3, 25,000 students from all the streams i.e. Science, Commerce and Arts appeared for the CHSE plus two exams from that were conducted across 1078 centers. Earlier there were rumors that Orissa / Odisha Plus two result 2014 would be declared on 28th May 2014 at 10 AM. However, Orissa Class 12th Result 2014 for all the streams (Science, Commerce and Arts) will be declared tomorrow i.e. 31st May 2014 at 10 AM on orissaresults. nic. in, as.ori.nic in/chseorissa and www. bseodisha .nic. in.
