Filmmaker Kunal Deshmukh started a fine dining restaurant named Trikaya at Bavdhan with a promise to serve delectable food

It seems filmmaker Kunal Deshmukh has more than one reason to celebrate. The promising director has not only

wrapped up the shooting of Tum Mile, a film based on the 26/7 deluge, but has also started a fine dining restaurant named Trikaya at Bavdhan last Friday.

Speaking about the new venture started by him with his childhood buddies, Deshmukh said, "Sahil Sehgal and Siraz Patel are my childhood friends. We wanted to take our friendship to another level and hence, thought of working together.

Then, we thought of several business ideas, but nothing worked out. Finally, we zeroed upon the restaurant business as it made sense," Deshmukh said. When asked about the USP of his eatery, he promptly replied that it's the ambience and the food that is served there.

Sounding optimistic about the success of his restaurant, Deshmukh even spoke about his upcoming movie. "Tum Mile is one of the most difficult films that one can ever make. We had shot the film in very difficult situations and had even created an actualu00a0 flood-like situation," he said.

Love story

Speaking about the story, Deshmukh said Tum Mile is a love story based during a natural disaster. "The movie showcases the lives of several people that underwent a complete transformation following the deluge," he added.

Speaking about the star cast, he said, "Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan are the lead actors. "The fact that Emraan and Soha come from diverse genres of cinema makes the film even more interesting," he added.

Deshmukh even spoke about the rapport he shares with Emraan. "We are good friends and understand each other pretty well. Besides, Emraan has been the driving force in my life and career," he said.

Khana khazana
Spread over 15,000 square feet, the restaurant specialises in Eastern cuisine. But Japanese, Mongolian, Korean cuisines as well as kebabs are also being served here. The restaurant management also plans to change the menu after every three to four months.
