A revolver and gold ornaments worth Rs 55,000 were stolen in a housebreaking at the residence of the assistant commissioner of the PCMC.

A revolver and gold ornaments worth Rs 55,000 were stolen in a housebreaking at the residence of the assistant commissioner of the PCMC.

The police said thieves broke into the home of Assistant Commissioner Uday Tekale (50) at Sansriti apartment in Pradhikaran between August 6 and August 8. A complaint was registered by Tekale with the Nigdi police station.

According to the police, Tekale and his family had gone to Kothrud as his nephew had met with an accident and was undergoing treatment at the Dinananth Mangeshkar hospital.
