Amaan was killed while passing by a building in old Delhi when it fell on him
Many of the victims of the Tuesday tragedy that struck the old Delhi area did not even live in the buildings. Class II student Amaan (6) was one such victim, who was just passing through the narrow lane by the side of the building, when it came crashing down. Though he was rushed to LNJP hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
Amaan used to live in a building situated right behind the collapsed house. He was returning to home along with his elder brother Bilal, who had a narrow escape.
His father Mustaq Ahmed, a priest in the local mosque, said Amaan had gone missing yesterday night. "Today morning, I came to know that he is in LNJP hospital. I rushed to see him but he was gone," said a heart-broken Ahmed.
