Bangalore-based coffee brand Halli Berri, will now be available in Mumbai. Started by three sisters and their mother, the name, Halli Berri, came about over a cup of coffee. It is derived from the name of the village Kambi Halli and a coffee estate where the coffee berry is grown.

Halli Berry offers Rainforest Alliance Certified Seal coffee; They also offer homestays at their plantations

Buying Halli Berry coffee, with the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, supports a healthier planet and an improved quality of life for farming communities. Halli Berri has been growing coffee in the Bababudan mountains since 1948. Today it is a fourth generation all-woman owned concern.

In an effort to enhance and maintain the ecological balance of the area, coffee is grown under the shade of various jungle trees in harmony with its natural surroundings. The iron-rich soil, high altitude and low temperature allows the coffee bean to mature slowly, incorporating subtle flavours and giving it a fresh taste.

If you wish to experience this first-hand, the brand also offers homestays at their plantations in Chikmagalur (Karnataka).
