French rock bands, Colt Silvers and Last Train, are set to make their debut in India with a 10-city tour. The two bands will be performing as part of a festival, Bonjour India, which aims to strengthen the Indo-French ties. The tour kicks off on November 22 in Delhi while their Mumbai gig, presented by music management company Mixtape, is lined up for November 29.

Known for producing intense electro rock, Colt Silvers comprises vocalist Tristan Lepagney, bass player Nicolas Lietaert and drummer Julien Hohl. "We are looking forward to experiencing the culture and tradition of the country," says Hohl, excited about his first visit to India. Vocalist Jean-Noël Scherrer, guitarist Julien Peultier, drummer Antoine Baschung and bassist Timothee Gerard of Last Train are excited about the culinary experience that India offers.

"In France, we don't eat spicy food. Though we are a bit scared, we want to try Indian food," says a cautious Scherrer. Hohl adds, "We want to indulge in the traditional cuisines of India." Getting a taste of Indian music too features on the bands' wish list. "If we have the time, we would like to attend a classical concert," says Scherrer.

Probe them on the sets they have lined up for India and Scherrer says that their music aims to cut across age groups. "When we perform in France, a lot of teenagers, old rockers, and kids turn up with their parents. We want to have a similar experience in India."
