Composer duo Salim-Suleiman, have only composed the music for Luck's tracks

Though they are best known for their background scores in B-Town, Salim-Sulaiman's name does not figure in Luck's background music credits. They have only composed for the film's songs.

Interestingly, this is also the first time that the brothers have composed the music for a movie but not its background score.

B-Town buzz is that the duo is miffed about being left out of Soham Shah's flick's background score. Apparently, Luck's producers Ashtavinayak were keen to have Amar Mohile provide the background music, and did not want the composer duo to handle both the background and the songs.

As Salim-Sulaiman had worked on the soundtrack of Soham in his earlier flick Kaal that was well received, they were keen to do the score in Luck too. The film is an action film, they felt there was lots of scope for their music.

Tight schedules

Says a source, "When Salim-Sulaiman were roped in for the music of Luck they assumed that it was for both. But while working on the songs, they realised the producer wanted someone else to handle the background music."

Salim however maintains, "It was basically due to our tight schedules. We were tied up with our other assignments that we just couldn't find the time. The strike earlier in the year pushed back all the schedules. We were busy with out other projects like Kambakkth Ishq, Kites, Teen Patti among others."

He however adds that it was sad that they couldn't score the background tracks for Luck. "This is the first time that we have not scored the background music for a project we have composed for. As we had worked with Soham earlier, he too was keen but it was basically due to time constraints and we couldn't help it. It was sad that we had to let go the score."

Says Soham "I worked with Salim-Sulaiman on the music. They were loaded with work so I just managed to get an album out of them. I wanted someone who'd give full time and extra effort to Luck, so I opted for Amar Mohile. His work is the highlight of the film. Amar is one of the behind-the-scenes heroes of Luck. I'm happy with my decision."
