All-rounder Irfan Pathan, who earned a recall for the five ODIs and lone T20 fixture in Sri Lanka after pacer R Vinay Kumar was ruled out due to a right hamstring injury yesterday, said he is keen to carry on his good form.
The left-arm seamer doesn’t consider himself lucky though. “I don’t think hard work or luck matters a lot. At the end of the day, it is your performance that matters. I am doing a decent job with the ball. In the last eight matches, I have taken 13 wickets and in one-day cricket, that is considered to be a decent job. It is not just about wickets, but also about bowling well,” Pathan said during the unveiling of the World Twenty20 trophy at a Goregaon mall.

Pathan, however, is hopeful that conditions in Sri Lanka would help him do better. “The conditions and wickets in Sri Lanka are similar to those in India. The sea breeze will help the ball swing, and I hope to continue getting wickets,” he said.
The first ODI will be played on July 21 in Hambantota.u00a0
