Congress and Shiv Sena supporters faced off on Friday at Dadar in central Mumbai while party candidates were filing nomination, creating tension in the area.

Sarvankar joined Congress yesterday, as he was denied ticket by Sena for Assembly polls on October 13 from Mahim constituency.
The Sena workers objected to the vehicles parked near the office by Rane and demanded their removal, which led to slogan-shouting from both sides. However, police brought the situation under control, avoiding any untoward incident.
Reacting to the situation, Aadesh said, "They (Congress activists) violated Election Commission norms and I will complain about it to our party leaders."
