Cook dies after six-storey fall

Siyaram Chhotelal Kori (35) had died after falling from a balcony of their sixth-floor flat. Kori, a native of Uttar Pradesh, stayed in the same building, with his uncle. He was working as a cook in the same complex for the past month. The police officials said no note was recovered but they suspect it’s a suicide case.

Last morning, only his uncle, who is bedridden, was present with Kori in the flat. The building’s watchman said, “I heard a sound and when I rushed to the spot, I found Kori in lying face down in a pool of blood on the ground. We called the police and took him to hospital, where he was declared dead.”

A staffer at the building said, “Kori was in depression because he was extremely debt-ridden. He’d discuss it with staffers here.” “Kori died after falling from the sixth floor. We have no witnesses or suicide note, but we have reasons to believe he committed suicide,” a police officer from Marine Drive police station said.u00a0
