Lady commuter who had once abused and threatened the cops while supporting an auto driver, now seeks their help
Not so long ago, MiD DAY had published a report ('Auto driver finds unlikely ally in abusive woman' on Nov 3) about Renu Singh Rajput, an unruly commuter, who took on the traffic and police officials for penalising a driver, who had agreed to ply her by ditching another.

Besides creating a ruckus, she had even threatened the officials that she would falsely implicate them for outraging her modesty.
Moreover, Rajput had even cursed the media for initiating the campaign. However, yesterday, the tables turned and she was at the receiving end of the errant autos.
Enraged by an alleged denial, Rajput approached Pant Nagar police to lodge a compliant against the driver who refused to ply her. If this wasn't enough, she even urged the media to intervene and keep a tab on her case.

In his defence, auto driver Ramdas Yadav said, "Though I halted the auto, the passenger sitting inside asked me to take it a little ahead. When I had initially stopped, she [Rajput] came to ask for a fare, but when I went a little ahead, as per the passenger's request, she came running behind the vehicle.
"The passenger was still inside when she started yelling at me. She then called the traffic cops and told them that I refused to ply her. She even sought the media's help.
Please believe me, it's not my fault."
