Houston: United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann said his side was guilty of being "too nice" after their Copa America Centenario campaign ended in a brutal 4-0 drubbing by Argentina here Tuesday.

Klinsmann said the players never recovered their composure after suffering the hammer blow of an Argentina goal in the third minute.
"You could clearly see when we went 1-0 down, we had far too much respect and they were able to play their game. We're just too nice," Klinsmann said.
"After the first goal, we were trying to scream into the field 'Go at them, become physical, step on their toes, anything'."
