Cops bust drug party in Bandra; arrest Frenchman

French national held after cops raid his Pali Hill residence and find him smoking grass with friends

Late Friday night, the Bandra police arrested Sebastian Francis, a French national, for possession of drugs. Cops raided his apartment while he was hosting a party for his friends at his Pali Hill residence.

A police officer from Bandra police station said, “Francis stayed on rent at Rachna Co-Op Housing Society, Pali Hill, Bandra West. He claims to be a journalist.” After getting information from an anonymous caller, the police sprung into action and conducted the raid.

The police officer added, “During the raid we found five grams of ganja (grass) from his house. We brought all the attendees of the party at the police station and recorded their statements. We filed a case against Francis as the drugs were found from his place. We are yet to verify his claims of being a journalist and finding out which organisation he works for.”

Francis was produced in the Bandra magistrate court on Saturday afternoon and was remanded to police custody for a day. Investigations are on to find out from where did Francis procure the drugs.

Wow! This is news? Why don't the cops take a little drive around the railway stations and pick up all the drug dealers and users there??? Cause the dealers there pay hafta and the users don't have any more money to pay bribes.. Had the party people paid the cops, this wouldn't have been all over the news.
