After the Mumbai police control received a troublesome tip-off from a milkman in Vikhroli that he had overheard a group plotting an attack on chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, the police has launched a manhunt for them.

The call came on Sunday morning from Vikhroli Park site, wherein a 33-year-old milkman reported to the officers that while he was conducting his usual business at around 1.45 am at a gate near Raheja Plaza society, he overheard a conversation on the lines of "Abhi to Maharashtra CM ka game hoga, hum log jo chahe wahi hoga, usko accident mein marva denge."

After his call came in, an officer from Vikhroli Parksite police then pressed him further for more details and clue, later recording his statement. According to sources, a special Anti-Terrorism cell (ATC) team has been formed to probe the case further. The police has also begun scanning the CCTVs in the area where the conversation was overheard.

Additionally, based on descriptions provided by the informant, the police has prepared sketches of the suspects to be circulated among the various police teams.
