The former India skipper’s car was stopped at the main gate during Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils match on April 9 and Vengsarkar left the stadium.
Yesterday, he was welcomed with a bouquet and all necessary arrangements were made for his entry. “It was very a nice gesture by the Mumbai Police,” Vengsarkar told MiD DAY. “It was a rare incident. It happens, as there is enormous pressure to ensure safety of the public. I have no hard feelings. Mumbai Police have been very cooperative towards cricket in Mumbai,” added Vengsarkar.
