He told the cops that his father (Peter Mukerjea) had also told him the same story. When the police questioned him on Indrani’s relation to Sheena and Mikhail, he stated that Sheena told him she was Indrani’s daughter.
Rahul was present at Khar police station for over 12 hours on Thursday (10 am to 10.30 pm), when he was questioned by the police about her disappearance in 2012 and murder.
Police: Why didn’t you try to contact Sheena after 2012?
Rahul: Whoever I asked refused to say anything about her.
Police: You had been in a relationship with Sheena for more then 6 years, don’t you think you should have tried more?
Rahul: I did come to the police station as well, but Indrani didn’t let us file any complaint.
Police: Did you ever inquire with Indrani and Peter about why Sheena was sent to the US?
Rahul: They claimed that she had been sent for studies.
Police: Did Indrani ever ask you to stay away from Sheena?
Rahul: Several times; she had even threatened me.
Police: Do you know Sanjeev Khanna?
Police: Do you know Siddharth Das?
Rahul: Sheena told me that he was her brother.
Police: Was Sheena killed?
Rahul: I don’t know.
Police: Do you think that even your father is involved in Sheena’s murder?
Rahul: (He remained silent.)
Police: Are you in any way involved in the murder case?
Rahul: You have the prime accused in the murder case, you can ask her about my involvement.
Police: Who do you think killed Sheena, and why?
Rahul: I don’t know about that, but whoever the culprit is should be punished.
