Country Club opens 5th fitness center in Mumbai

Country Club India Ltd (CCIL), India's largest and fastest growing leisure and entertainment conglomerate, has rolled out 14 fitness centers across India in a span of couple of months and are expected to touch 25 fitness centers in India and abroad in the next three months.

These state of the art fitness centers areu00a0operational at Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata and Delhi.

As is known, CCIL has announced Rs 350 crores expansion plan that aims at creating 100 fitness centers across India and abroad over the next three years and has appointed tennis ace Sania Mirza as its brand ambassador.

According to CCIL Chairman Y Rajeev Reddy, the Indian fitness industry is huge in size. With higher disposable incomes and growing emphasis on health and fitness, this industry is expected to grow by over 30 per cent on a year to year basis. CCIL, being a pioneer as far as private clubbing is concerned, aims to capitalise on this tremendous opportunity.

Giving further details about the fitness centres, Rajeev Reddy said, “We are moving into the market with the right product offering. We are investing close to ' 3.5 crores in each 4000-10,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility that boasts latest equipment, is well managed and has experts on board to address the fitness needs of our members.” Rajeev Reddy pointed out, “The ultra-modern fitness facilities value adds to our product offering and will help attract more people towards the brand.”

In the first phase, Country Club intends to focus on multiple locations in major metros. Thereafter, CCIL would make foray into tier two cities with the aim of establishing a pan India network. CCIL, which is on an international expansion mode, also intends to take this fitness initiative offshore to boost its NRI memberships.

CCIL currently has operations in Middle East, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The company owns and operates over 50 clubs across India and abroad and has over 3.5 lakh members.u00a0
