House attacked in Kadhli village over cow slaughter; owner arrested

Muzaffarnagar: Tension prevailed in Kadhli village after a mob attacked a house where an alleged cow slaughter took place following which cops arrested the house owner and lodged an FIR against those who indulged in rioting.

Trouble started when irate locals gathered outside Zishan Qureshi’s house on Saturday evening accusing him and his family of cow slaughter.
The mob damaged Qureshi’s house but cops reached the spot and brought the situation under control, police sources said.
There were earlier reports the mob tried to set afire the house but SSP Deepak Kumar denied such attempts. Qureshi was arrested yesterday, the SSP said.
