ArunGhag's troubles are far from over. After MiD DAY showed how the inspector was caught on camera hugging RPI(A) Thane district president Rambhau Tayade (Welcome to your arrest!) on Tuesday when he arrived for a rasta roko, KP Raghuvanshi, Commissioner of police, Thane has instructed the DCP (traffic) to carry out an inquiry against Ghag and submit a detailed report about it to him.
On Tuesday, RPI(A) President Tayade organised a rasta roko at Kopri in Thane to demand a handover of Indu Mills in Dadar for a Dr BR Ambedkar memorial. As the leader arrived at the spot, Ghag went forward and hugged him and even escorted him to the spot of disruption. Confirming the inquiry set up against Ghag, Dr Shrikant Paropkari, DCP (Traffic) Thane, said, “I have been asked to look into this matter by the Thane Commissioner of police KP Raghuvanshi and conduct an inquiry into the same. I will start the procedure regarding the same on Thursday.”

However, Rambhau Tayade feels that there was nothing wrong in Ghag’s actions. “I was the one who hugged Ghag first as we know each other for a long time but hadn’t met. He requested us to be peaceful during the protest and I assured him that no havoc or trouble would be caused.” He added, “The DCP called me today but I don’t think there is anything wrong in greeting an old friend.” Arun Ghag was unavailable for comment. u00a0
