Cricket Australia (CA) eagerly wants India's batting great Sachin Tendulkar to play in the ODIs to make the ensuing triangular series, also involving Sri Lanka, a commercial success.
If Tendulkar finds a place in the squad it would be godsend opportunity for CA. It would be a double delight for the organisers if Tendulkar fails to get the much awaited 100th international century in the Test series and continues to chase it during the ODIs.
"We would love to see Tendulkar's name in the one-day side. He is just an absolute drawcard," CA public affairs manager Peter Young was quoted as saying by Sydney Morning Herald. The series is a lucrative property for CA in terms of commercial television rights.
