Former Warwickshire fast bowler, Tom Allin leapt from a 200 feet bridge on January 4 and did not fall from it, an Barnstaple inquest revealed yesterday.

Allin's body was found below the A39 River Torridge Bridge in Bideford, Devon in England. The police later found three suicide notes at his home written to family and friends, but did not find any suspicious circumstances leading to the death.
"On the evidence, I am in no doubt that Tom was the architect of his own demise and he clearly intended the consequences of what he did and there is no evidence of a third party involvement," Dr Elizabeth Earland, the senior coroner for Exeter and Greater Devon was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo.
"Thomas had been through a number of tough months leading up to his death," Allin's mother Beverly said. Allin, a Physical Education teacher, also suffered severe leg wounds in a car crash at Clovelly Cross, North Devon, in January. According to the inquest, after the crash, Tom's mood had become low before Christmas although it improved later.
