Madrid: Three-time World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo has issued a rallying call to Real Madrid’s fans as they aim to overturn a 0-2 first leg deficit against Wolfsburg in their Champions League quarter-final tomorrow.

Goals from Ricardo Rodriguez and Maximilian Arnold have left Madrid with a mountain to climb to reach the semi-finals for a fifth consecutive season. However, Ronaldo remains confident Real’s free-scoring home form this season will ensure they overturn a first leg defeat in the Champions League for the first time since 2002.
“The team is confident, coach has faith and fans must also have faith. Tuesday has to be a magical night. It’s important to remain calm in certain situations, we need patience.
