The authorities in the Haiti capital of Port-au-Prince yesterday imposed a curfew to deal with the worsening law and order situation following the devastating earthquake.

The police and the UN Stabilising Mission in Haiti have ordered a curfew starting last evening. Helicopters are also barred from making overflights.
On Tuesday, an earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale, struck the Port-au-Prince, killing thousands of people. Armed men were seen on the streets on Saturday raiding buildings where food and water were stored.
