Sole witness to attack, five-year-old boy alerts neighbours

After group of dacoits attacked five-year-old Samarth Malusare's family at their farmhouse in Kasurdi-Guma village on Monday night, he is now gripped with the fear of spirits and ghosts. He was the only witness who escaped without any injuries. The dacoits murdered a member of his family and left two critically injured. He alerted his neighbours stating that he had spotted ghosts in black, who had looted the family.

According to the police, the incident came to light after Kanhoba Malusare, a distant relative of the victim's family heard cries of the five-year-old.

He saw that the farmhouse was bolted from outside. When Kanhoba stepped inside Malusares' farmhouse, he was shocked to see Kisan Kondiba Malusare and his wife Hirabai lying in a pool of blood while their younger son Muralidhar was motionless.

Kanhoba called the nearby villagers and they then informed the Rajgad police station about the incident.

Kisan and his wife Hirabai are still in the ICU. The Malusares were involved in farming and their son also used to lend them a helping hand apart from working as an electrician.

Though Chandargiranje alleged that dacoity occurs frequently, Police Inspector Bote told MiD DAY that this is the first case dacoity reported in the area.
