Dakota Johnson slams reports of using a body double in her adult-drama, Fifty Shades Darker
Actress Dakota Johnson has refuted rumours of using a body double for her sex scenes in James Foley's Fifty Shades Darker, a sequel to her 2015 drama, Fifty Shades of Grey, which was helmed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.
In an interview with an international website, the actress, who plays the role of Anastasia Steele, said, "It would have felt like a cop-out if I did. If I were going to do this job, I was going to do it 100 per cent and give it everything. I wanted to be true and honest to the role, and the character. I don't have a problem with nudity. I think it is beautiful and so I was okay with that." Asked if she feels confident about her body, she adds, " I was brought up to respect myself and be comfortable and confident. I always admired that in other women; I was always attracted to those who were not ever worrying about what other people think."
The movie, the second of a trio of films to have been adapted from EL James' bestselling books by the same name, raked in $21.5 milion on its opening day, despite failing to live up to the expectation of critics.
