Actor Darshan Jariwala, who has previously appeared in TV shows like “Saas Bina Sasural” and “Baa Bahoo Aur Baby”, will feature in the forthcoming non-fiction show “Nautanki News”.
“Nautanki News”, which will be aired on BIG Magic starting Wednesday, will be a bi-weekly satirical take on how the news business functions.
Darshan will be seen in multiple avatars, switching roles between an aggressive managing editor, a live reporter as well as a chat show host.
“Comedy is a genre that I’ve always explored in the past. While ‘Nautanki News’ is an out and out comedy satire, what excited me the most is the challenge involved in portraying multiple characters within a fictitious news channel setup,” Darshan said in a statement.
“A lot of hard work is being put in by the entire team to make the show a huge success, and I can only hope that we manage to leave the viewers entertained at the end of the day,” he added.
