Deepak Shodhan, India's oldest Test cricketer passes away

Deepak Shodhan, the oldest Test cricketer from India passed away at age 87 and 211 days today.

He was the first Indian cricketer to hit a Test century on his debut.

Shodhan passed away today at his home in Ahmedabad. He was suffering from lung cancer since February this year.

His first cap for India came at age 25 in 1952 in a match against Pakistan.

After Deepak Shodhan passing, Dattarao Gaekwad, born in 1928 is currently India's oldest living Test player at age 87 and 202 days.

Deepak Shodhan played 3 Tests with 181 runs at an average of 60.33 and highest score of 110.
