If sources are to be believed, Deepika Padukone stayed close to rumoured beau Ranveer Singh's side for an entire night at a Khar hospital after he underwent surgery for a shoulder injury.

The actor hurt himself while shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Bajirao Mastani' and was advised to seek medical help. He was discharged on Sunday afternoon and his ladylove made a quiet exit from the hospital backdoor to avoid the paparazzi.

Says a source, "Deepika arrived at the hospital on Saturday around 9 pm and stayed by Ranveer's side till he was discharged yesterday (Sunday) at 12.30 pm. He posed for media photographers while leaving the hospital with his parents and in the meanwhile, Dippy left through the back exit. As the hospital is in a residential area, she was able to leave discreetly."

Ranveer Singh tweeted on Sunday afternoon, "Surgery went well...Back home now & all set for the Rehab phase...Thank u all for ur love n concern! (sic)."

Incidentally, in 2013, when Ranveer Singh was undergoing treatment for dengue, Deepika Padukone paid him a visit with special permission from the hospital authorities.
