Recover pack of seven hunting dogs, carcase of wild boar, three spears, handmade stun bombs and incriminating photographs from mobile phones from the quartet
Personnel of the National Defence Academy Security Section Staff (NDA Police) followed and apprehended a group of civilians, along with a pack of hunting dogs, who were on a hunting expedition on the NDA premises on Sunday morning.

The NDA personnel swung into action yesterday morning and followed quartet to observe their activity. After reaching a conclusion that the four had entered the premises with an intention to hunt, NDA personnel apprehended the group. Apart from taking the four into custody, the team recovered a pack of seven hunting dogs, three spears, two handmade stun bombs and four mobile phones using which the quartet would coordinated the hunt. Besides, the team also recovered the carcase of wild boar hunted by the four. Photos recovered from the mobile phones confirmed that the four were poachers.
Those nabbed were identified as Sandeep Sonar (32) and Amit Sonar (26) of Sonarwadi. Shanker Baper Parge (24) of Aglambe Village and Devshanker Wanjale (21) of Ahire village.
The offenders were handed over to the Forest Department so that legal action could be initiated against quartet. Simultaneously, officials of the Warje-Malwadi police station were informed about the incident.
The special team was formed after receiving intimation from Lt Col Gagandeep Singh (Adjutant, NDA) regarding poaching activities on NDA premises in the area.u00a0
