Delhi debacle defeat for Modi, not (Kiran) Bedi, says Uddhav Thackeray

Virtually targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray Tuesday termed the sweeping AAP win in Delhi a 'tsunami' and congratulated AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal for the historic victory.

"This is a great day for democracy. It was not just a wave. It was a tsunami which swept Delhi," a jovial Thackeray told media-persons.

He said the Aam Aadmi Party's astounding victory proved once again that people of the country should not be taken for granted at any time.

"People are feeling frustrated now. This is a warning by Delhiites to the Delhi 'lords'. Delhiites have done what they felt right without succumbing to any kind of lures or pressures," Thackeray noted.

To a question, Thackeray readily endorsed social crusader Anna Hazare's statement that the Delhi results were a debacle for Modi.

"I agree with Hazare's view that this is a defeat for Modi, not (Kiran) Bedi," Thackeray said.

The Sena chief, an ally of the BJP-led government in Maharashta, said the Delhi outcome was not merely a reversal of the verdict of the Lok Sabha election in the capital but went much beyond.

"I would like to congratulate Kejriwal for his victory. He should not talk of quitting now. He must live up to the confidence reposed in him by the people of Delhi."

I voted for BJP and here is my advise to BJP - Modi stop being garrulous, You are not a Rock star like the one you pretend to be. You are an ordinary man who has been elected by the people to serve the people, If you cannot do anything for the common man GET OUT. I wonder whatever happened to the Gujarat model that you were going to replicate all over India. Stop Divisive politics, and focus on Development

The people of New Delhi cannot be steered away merely by opportunists and timely tactical strategy of negating the opponents on temporary grounds as well as opportunistically announcing public good for specific goals of the party and not of the long lasting welfare measures. Delhi people love realization of true democratic form of Government ; removal of secular nature of the Constitution by way of amendment and ordinance is the biggest enemy of Indian Democracy. BJP should be aware of this.

Dont worry man, next time AAP he will be contesting elections against you in Maharashtra. Then we will ask you for your comments. Modi has won many elections after LokSabha elections. This is the first reversal because of mathematical miscalculation. Otherwise Modi has not done anything wrong, as far as , working is concerned. he has been strict with his ministers and govt employees for delivering the maximum. And this is the reward people gave him. Strange things do happen in this world.
