A 40-year-old Delhi Police head constable was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck in South Delhi's Okhla area

New Delhi: A 40-year-old Delhi Police head constable was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck in South Delhi's Okhla area.


Ashok Kumar was on his way home from work when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.


Kumar was posted at Badarpur police station and was living with his family in government quarters in west Delhi's Paschim Vihar area.


Police said they had received a call at 10.20 PM yesterday from an anonymous person, who informed them about the accident which occurred near Nathu Sweets shop in Okhla.

The accused truck driver, Shishpal, has been arrested and charged with causing death by negligence apart from rash and negligent driving, police said.
