Dennis Lillee has been drafted in to provide guidance and coaching advice to the national side ahead of their tour to India this month, Cricket Australia said yesterday
The fast bowling great will also act as a mentor to the country’s up-and-coming quicks, but will not travel extensively abroad with the team. “He will work closely with full-time bowling coach Ali de Winter as Australia prepare to tackle India in a Test series and then the highly-anticipated Ashes series starting in July,” Cricket Australia said.
Lillee, 63, is regarded as cricket’s greatest fast bowlers, claiming 355 Test wickets in 70 Tests for Australia.
