Depressed with life, a 25-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Malad on Saturday morning.
The police said the man, Dinesh Gupta, was engaged to be married in May and was undergoing treatment for impotency. A friend who came to meet him in the morning discovered the body hanging from the ceiling fan and informed the cops. His family has been informed.
Speaking to SMD, an officer of the Malad PS said Gupta belonged to Ghaziabad in UP and had come to Mumbai on work recently. He was working at an under-construction building and stayed at the transit camp with his co-workers.

Initial investigations by the police suggest he had gone to Ghaziabad last month and got engaged. His friends told the police that as the date for his wedding approached, Gupta became worried about his condition. u00a0
