Otherwise media-savvy, actor chose to ignore the many scribes present at a recent event

Did Akshay avoid media because of Vindu?

Akshay Kumar has been known to be pleasantly friendly with the media. However, at a music launch on Friday night, the actor gave a giant snub to the waiting press persons, almost seeing through their presence, only to leave the venue in haste. As bizarre as it may look, it almost appeared as if he was running away from them.

Onlookers say that the star was in such a giant rush that he chose to hobble up a flight of stairs with his injured leg at the venue, instead of opting to take the lift. Perhaps it was an attempt in avoiding to get confined in a tight space with unwanted company?

A source present at the location says, “Akshay reached the venue around 9.30 pm and left within a few minutes. During the limited time he was there, he simply ignored the many journalists present there, some of whom he knows on a first-name basis. Why would he struggle up the steps with a bandaged leg instead of simply travelling in the comfort of the lift?”

The question on everyone’s mind is that why did Akshay choose to avoid the media at all cost and leave without even saying hello. We wonder if it was to avoid uncomfortable questions about his close friend Vindoo Dara Singh’s alleged role in the IPL betting scam. Only Akshay can reveal the real reason.u00a0
