Apparently, Deepika Padukone flew out of India on the day a commercial featuring her was supposed to be shot
Deepika Padukone is said to have flown to Turkey to meet Ranveer Singh to celebrate his 29th birthday. However, on the day she flew out, the actress was apparently supposed to shoot a commercial for a brand she has been endorsing for a while.
A source says, “Deepika has back-to-back work commitments. She will be shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor. Later on, she will begin work on Shoojit Sircar’s Piku in August and then begin promotions for Finding Fanny, followed by Happy New Year. Getting her dates for shooting a commercial has been quite a task, so when she recently cancelled the shoot, the brand was quite upset about it.”
It turns out that this particular shoot for a cosmetic product was planned three months in advance, but the actress apparently decided to fly out on the same day. The source adds that her trip was planned at last minute. “The actress could only inform the crew a couple of days prior to her trip, so the brand team had no option but to cancel the shoot. It
was a three-day schedule scheduled to start over the weekend.”
The actress’ spokesperson denies the buzz. “Deepika finished her brand commitments before flying out for Tamasha,” came the reply. The brand’s spokesperson too denied the story.
