The 36-year-old is the model himself for the exquisite range that is set to benefit his own charity organisation. One euro from each pair sold will go to the Didier Drogba Foundation. The range will be available from May 1 on www.hom.com
The Galatasaray player, famous for his goal-scoring prowess, is also well known for his charity work. He began the DDF to provide financial and material support in health and education to African people. For this, he plans to build a hospital.
The father-of-three decided on building the hospital after a trip to other hospitals across the Ivory Coast's capital.
"I decided the Foundation's first project should be to build and fund a hospital giving people basic healthcare and a chance just to stay alive," he said Drogba organises posh dinner galas each year that is attended by most of his international football star friends to help raise funds for his charity work.
In 2007, he was appointed as goodwill ambassador by the United Nations Development Programme.
