Of late, several Bollywood stars have been turning producers with the thought of supporting and encouraging regional films with great content, and the latest to join the bandwagon is actor Dino Morea.
Dino's first production will be a Kannada film. A source says, “Dino likes watching regional cinema, be it Marathi or any other language. He believes regional cinema has lot to offer in terms of subjects and performances, and so he is keen to produce regional cinema by starting his own production house.”
Dino says, "Growing up in Bangalore, having watched Kannada films and having done a guest appearance in a film called 'Julie' about five years ago, has familiarised me with the industry there. My friends who are associated with the industry have got me thinking about film production in Bangalore, the economics seems less riskier and there seems opportunity. Hence, looking into it keenly."
