A bar manager accidentally killed one person and injured two others in a bizarre turn of events on Friday night. Nagraj Shetty (25) manager of Millenium Bar at Jerabai Road, Parel, located next to the bus stop, was putting up Diwali Lights, one end of which was touching the bus stop.

When Shetty switched on the power, the faulty wires electrified the metal structures of the bus stop. Three men waiting at the stop were electrocuted.

They were rushed to KEM Hospital. Hitesh Ashar (32) died soon after. His friends, Uday Jethe and Mehul Ashar, sustained injuries.

"We have registered a case under IPC sections 304A (causing death by negligence) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) against Shetty," said sub-inspector Uddha Surve of Bhoiwada police station.
