The Thane city police arrested a doctor from a hospital here on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a patient, the police said here today.
Sub-inspector A P Daundkar of the Naupada police station told PTI today that the patient, a 45-year-old housewife, had got herself admitted to the Sahayog Hospital in the Naupada locality.

Allegedly, on Tuesday when nurses had left for the day, the accused who was on the night shift entered the patient's room, pretended to treat her, molested her twice and attempted to sexually assault her, the complaint said.
The victim lodged complained to the police after she was discharged from the hospital, as she feared that the doctor would harm her if she raised an alarm while she was in the hospital, the complaint said.
The police have named the doctor as Jayendra Jadhav and charged him under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code, the police said.
Further investigations are on, the police said.
