"Supriya(27), who did her MBA after BTech, got married to Vibhash in November last year and had come to Delhi. After two months of marriage Vibhash started disliking and torturing her. And when both the families got to know about this, they tried to settle the matter amicably. But he continued to ill-treat the deceased," said V Renganathan, Additional Commissioner of Police, West District.

Supriya kept informing her mother about the torture but ultimately she was forced by Vibhash to leave their house. and go to her maternal house. After that family of Vibhansh forced him to bring his wife back. Vibhansh brought Supriya back to Delhi but the surgeon allegedly continued to beat her.

Last call
According to the father, Supriya made a last call to her mother and informed that her husband was so angry that he could kill her. Since then she could not be contacted as her mobile phone was switched off. "Later Vibhash was contacted but he allegedly kept misguiding them by saying he was in Mathura. Last Sunday, the parents of the deceased reached Delhi but they found no one at the house. On Monday, the family members managed to meet Vibhash but he did not disclose Supriya's whereabouts. After sometime he broke down and confessed that he had killed her," Renganathan added. Her parents alleged that whenever Supriya asked for money for running the house, Vibhash used to taunt her and directed her to get money from her parents.
