There are so many channels, so a lot of things to see on television. There are certain serials that I see, they are very regressive. I get upset," Parekh told PTI. "I don't like to see women being tortured today. I don't like to see like that.

I don't want to see all those regressive things. It should not be like that," she said. Apart from the daily soaps, the reality shows do interest her a lot, especially the dance shows. "I do follow reality shows like 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa'.

I loved Madhuri Dixit. She is an excellent dancer. I am also seeing 'Nach Baliye' and I am loving it. I love to see dance shows," Parekh said. Considering, she is a trained Kathak dancer, she thinks there is less dancing in films today.

"I think there is less dancing. It is a mixture and fusion of everything. I feel we have taken over foreign dance and forgot about our dance forms. It makes me very upset. We have wonderful folk dance all states have different state dance forms. I wish our folk dance come in the fore," Parekh said. u00a0
