Ron tells not to read too much into his average Real debut on Monday; says team is still settling

After Real Madrid were unable to record a triumphant scoreline, their players opted for the job-done line, Cristiano Ronaldo believes that no conclusions can be drawn from his Real Madrid debut on Monday and that the team should not be judged on the performance.

The fact that Madrid did not run away with the game meant that rather than celebrating, there was an air of job done, which Ronaldo was keen to promote.

"It's still soon to draw conclusions. What's important is to try things out, win and, later, try to score more goals," he was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

Roles not defined
"We've just started. Nothing's been defined. My teammates are doing a good job, but this is the first time we've played together on the same pitch."

Ronaldo was employed down the flank, and while the Spanish media have stated that he was in his favourite position, Ronaldo himself claims he does not mind where he plays.

"I don't mind playing down the right, the left or the middle. I just want to play, help the team and blend in with my teammates as fast as possible," he continued.

"I am calm and working well. I hope to score many goals. I want to play at the Bernabeu on Sunday. It will be a very special moment for me. I hope things continue to go this well."
