Relive a bygone era as musicians pay a tribute to Laxmikant-Pyarelal on completion of 51 years in the Hindi film industry
Humrahi, a group made up of fans of yesteryears music, will be hosting Humrahi, a musical soiree as a tribute to music composers Laxmikant-Pyarelal on completion of 51 years in the industry. The Humrahi group was started in 1999 by Girish Rao, Sunil Juneja, Nishigandh Dashrath, Rahul Joshi and Amit Bivalkar.

The musical night has been organised in the memory of Laxmikant, member of the popular Indian composer duo of the 60s. The duo composed music for 635 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998, working for notable filmmakers including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Yash Chopra, Subhash Ghai and Manoj Kumar. The event will include singers such as Pramod Ranade, Hrishikesh Ranade, Vibhavari Joshi, Madhura Datar, and Ali Hussain.
Bivalkar says that the programme will feature music from the 60s: “All the musicians are from Bollywood and we will be recreating the magic here for Retro music lovers. We have come together for the love of music and we will donate the earnings to army officers or other needy people.”
