A friend of mine on Facebook recently asked me on a date. I agreed, but had to cancel at the last minute because there was a crisis at work. Since then, he has been extremely rude and nasty to me online. He says horrible things about my posts, leaves snarky comments on my photographs, and even gets into arguments with my friends, who don't understand why he is behaving this way. He sounds like a jilted lover, which is ridiculous, because we have never met in real life and were going to do so for the first time when he asked me out. He seemed like a nice person, and we have a lot of common friends, which is why I accepted his friend request a few months ago, but his behaviour has come as a bit of a shock. How do I respond to something like this?
So, let me get this straight. A complete stranger has been rude to you simply because you have been unable to meet him? And this is a problem? If you don't know this guy -- and it obviously sounds as if he is not a person worth knowing -- why are you putting up with this behaviour? Ask him to behave, or block him. It's not as if his not being in your life will be a tragedy, considering he has never been a part of it to begin with.

I am a married 33-year old with two children. I asked someone to marry me before I met my wife, but she turned me down at the time because of family-related issues. We got in touch again around a decade or so, and have since met pretty often. We go out to restaurants a lot, but I sometimes get the feeling that she is just using me. What should I do?

I'm not sure I understand. If you're not comfortable with this person, who is not your wife, why do you have to take her out?
