Killer driver Santosh Mane (41) who was shifted to Yerawada Regional Mental Hospital on Saturday is being kept under round-the-clock observation.

A team of four psychiatrists is monitoring him, and trying to analyse his behaviour, speech and temperament.

According to Dr Vilas Bhailume, medical superintendent, Yerawada Regional Mental Hospital, "Mane was admitted on Saturday, and we have kept him under round-the-clock observation.

His activities like speech, behaviour, body language and temperament are being closely observed by our team."

He added, "We will be able to come to a conclusion on Mane's mental state by February 1."

The superintendent said that neither they had performed any test on Mane, nor has he been administered any medicines.
