At least eight people were killed and 30 others wounded today when suspected Taliban militants clashed with Pakistan security forces at a town in the North West Frontier Province.

At least eight people were killed and 30 others wounded today when suspected Taliban militants clashed with Pakistan security forces at a town in the North West Frontier Province.


Suspected militants fired mortar shells at a base used by the security forces in the town of Lanvi Kotal and soon a fierce clash erupted between the ultras and the forces,


The Geo TV reported. Eight people were killed and many injured as several mortar shells hit Landi Kotal bazar, Khogakhel and Gagrah areas in the tribal region, it said.
