The International Cricket Council (ICC) Elite Panel umpire Billy Doctrove announced his retirement and is not seeking an extension of his contract that expires this month, ICC said
Doctrove was assigned to officiate in the ODI and Test series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan that started in Pallekele yesterday, but has opted out of his last assignment as he had to return to Dominica following a death in his family.u00a0

The second Test between New Zealand and South Africa at Hamilton in March turned out to be his last assignment as an elite panel umpire.
Doctrove, 56, has officiated in 38 Tests, 112 ODIs, including the final of World Twenty20 between England and Australia in 2010. He made in debut on April 4, 1998 in a match between West Indies and England in Kingstown, St Vincent, and a couple of years later in Antigua.
The first Test match he stood in was between the West Indies and Pakistan.u00a0
