Los Angeles: 'Inception' star Ellen Page is all set to star in zombie thriller 'The Third Wave'. The thriller is set in a time after a virus that changed humans into zombies has been cured. But the once-infected members are now shunned by the society, causing problems.
David Freyne will be making his feature directorial debut with the film, which he also wrote after making a proof-of-concept prequel short film titled 'The First Wave', said the Hollywood Reporter.
"The Third Wave brings an entire new perspective to the zombie genre, which I love," Ellen Page, 29, said.
"David Freyne truly shifts his lens on society's role in the apocalyptic world. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to share his thoughtful approach to horror with audiences."
The shooting on the movie is set to begin in Ireland in late 2016.
