An empty four-storey building in the city collapsed here today following heavy rains, fire brigade sources said.

The building Gopal Bhavan, located in Mamletdar Wadi in suburban Malad caved in following rains. However, there were no casualties, they said.u00a0


There was nobody living in the building as the residents had already been evacuated after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) declared the structure as 'dangerous'.


Five fire engines were rushed to the spot, they added.
