Known for his method acting, Emraan Hashmi apparently went an extra step to make sure his upcoming character was as close to real-life as possible. The actor plays a crime reporter in his next film and to prep for the role, he spent a lot of time watching many crime news stories on TV channels.
A source from the unit says, “Emmi used to note down the way a crime reporter would dress. He even paid a lot of attention on the pronunciation of the words, the kind of language they use, emphasising on particular words, vocals, body language and much more. Emraan also went to the extent of studying and reading books on journalism.”
The actor is said to have even purchased several books on journalism and has apparently been taking inspiration from a couple of reputed crime reporters.
The source adds, “He even got his hair and make up artistes to watch crime news on TV channels to get his look right.”
